Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Ettore Amerio is a specialist in periodontology, implantology, and oral surgery with a solid academic and clinical background, developed over years of training and professional practice. He is a Certified Member of SIdP (Italian Society of Periodontology), a lecturer at the University of Milan, and the author of numerous publications in prestigious international journals.

In 2012, he graduated in dentistry and dental prosthetics from the University of Genoa, achieving top honors with distinction and an academic medal. His thesis, a systematic review on the accuracy and clinical outcomes of computer-guided implantology, was recognized with the distinction of publication.

From 2013 to 2016, he completed his specialization in oral surgery at the San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital of the University of Turin. During this period, he gained in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of complex surgical conditions, such as oral and implant surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, and the management of maxillary cysts. His specialization thesis, a comparison between rotary, ultrasonic, and sonic instruments in oral surgery, was published in the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery and awarded the distinction of publication.

From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Amerio attended a three-year master's program in periodontology and implantology at the International University of Catalonia in Barcelona, an accredited program by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). Here, he developed advanced skills in periodontology and implantology, including regenerative and mucogingival techniques. His master's thesis, titled "Peri-implant Bleeding on Probing: Impact of Smoking on its Diagnostic Accuracy," was awarded the best scientific work of the university for the 2019/2020 academic year, and his admission exam to the European Board was rated "Excellent."

Since 2020, Dr. Amerio has been working on his doctoral project at the UIC, focusing on peri-implantitis under the supervision of Professors Alberto Monje and Jose Nart. His research has received recognition from the prestigious ITI (International Team for Implantology) and Osteology scholarships, highlighting the relevance and scientific value of the project.

Since 2022, Dr. Ettore Amerio has been a lecturer at the University of Milan, where he actively participates in research projects in collaboration with Professor Giulio Rasperini. His academic commitment focuses on the exploration of topics related to periodontology and implantology, contributing to the scientific advancement of the field.
